More, Alipay are teaming up for an exclusive European Campaign throughout 8 key shopping destinations: Paris, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, Rome, Milan, and Florence.
Along with their 16 partner brands, the two leaders will allow Chinese shoppers to enjoy an extra 20% on their tax refund amount when they pay with their Alipay app at any of the 85 participating stores.
How does it work?
To offer a seamless experience to Chinese shopper, Alipay has developed an extra refund coupon available on its app that Chinese tourists need to simply download and show in-store at the checkout. Similarly, Global Blue has developed a dedicated identification service that sales staff can select to allow a Chinese traveller to enjoy the extra refund.
Maximise footfall in partners stores thanks to a cross-channel campaign
Alipay and Global Blue have mutualised their expertise of the Chinese shopper’s journey to create a cross-channel campaign reaching Chinese travellers before and during their trips.
Chinese digital ecosystems and search engines such as mobile and app advertising are used before and during the tourists stay. At the traveller’s destination, physical channels such as Global Blue’s lounge networks and In-Store solutions are also used to reach relevant Chinese Shoppers.
This is an unprecedented campaign illustrating Global Blue’s and its strategic partner Alipay’s mutual capabilities to provide more and more personalised services to shoppers and smoothly orientate them towards their preferred brands.
